It's summer holidays again and Philippa is longing to see Greg and the nimbin. But things aren't turning out how she hoped. First, instead of the usual camping trip to her beloved Bindi they are staying in a big hotel in Noosa. Then her mother doesn't want her to have anything to do with Greg. Nearly perfect Amanda doesn't want Greg to have anything to do with Philippa. The nimbin has a secret that it's trying to tell, and every time it does something wrong, which is all the time, Philippa gets the blame. And then things get worse.
