Lipstick on Your Collar was a six-part series from Dennis Potter, whose Pennies from Heaven and The Singing Detective are milestones in British television drama.

This series is set at the time of the Suez, when the drudgery of National Service was still a feature of every young man's life, and the pull of girls and music was almost too much to bear. Set against the backdrop of a stuffy department in the Foreign Office and a two-up two-down potential love-nest in Fulham, Lipstick on Your Collar tells the story of a love triangle which goes horribly wrong.
