Welcome back to the sleepy town of Mitford. Father Tim and Cynthia are back in Mitford, following their stint on Whitecap Island a few years ago, and life hums along as ever before. Dooley is looking towards his career as a vet; Joe Ivey and Fancy Skinner fight a haircut price war that takes no prisoners; and the Man in the Attic returns to Mitford causing the small town to hold its breath. Though Father Tim is supposed to be in retirement and writing a book of essays, he can't help but get involved in all the bustle. So when a unique and difficult ministry turns up he's determined to give it a go . . .
