The book is written as a tribute to Alex Haley, the author of "ROOTS", and my late husband, Dr. John Johnson, who collaborated with me to write nine books while suffering through the debilitating disease of multiple sclerosis. These two men were their own masters. Their human spirits light my path to personal liberation and concern for humanity.
