Ian Hemphill has spent his life surrounded by herbs and spices, with his parents John and Rosemary Hemphill pioneering the appreciation of herbs and spices in Australia in the 1950s. He has worked in nearly every aspect of the industry. With his wife Elizabeth he now shares his extensive knowledge with customers at their Sydney shop, Herbie's Spices. Ian conducts spice appreciation classes, has presented a segment about herbs on Channel 7's Surprise Chef and is a regular guest with Simon Marnie on ABC radio 702. Herbie also fits in guest spots on various radio and TV programs.
