Preventing Diseases helps students understand how communicable diseases are spread and what they can do to prevent the spread of diseases. The Noncommunicable Diseases chapter discusses some of the risk factors associated with these diseases, as well as summarizing current treatments for each condition. Each print module contains the same front matter section, titled Your Health and Wellness. This content is relevant to the entire program. It teaches the 10 Health Skills that are the foundation of the Teen Health program.
