The young Arab took the shotgun and opened the rear door of the van, kicking it to one side with his foot. He fired at the police car now about 20 yards behind ...The first round hit the front of the car, destroying the radiator and headlamps. The second shot went a little lower, shredding the offside front tyre; the car lost control, careered to the right, hit the bank and took off. Following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York, the British government commissioned research into developing anti-viruses for anthrax, fearing a terrorist attack on the UK mainland involving a biological weapon. When the chief scientist working on experiments steals the most deadly virus ever created, he sparks a massive operation involving the police, the military and a tiny village in Cambridgeshire. But when it is stolen a second time and no one knows who was responsible, things turn from bad to impossible.
