Sarah Gristwood is a writer and broadcaster who, in her days as journalist, interviewed everyone from Martin Scorsese to Giorgio Armani. She is the author of three recent historical biographies – Arbella (a Sunday Times bestseller), Perdita (adapted as BBC radio's Book of the Week), and Elizabeth and Leicester (to be published by Viking in the USA this autumn).
