Looks at the environmental battle shaping up in southern West Virginia between powerful coal companies, which are wreaking havoc on the natural landscape of Appalachia, as well as on the towns and communities of the region, and such activists as attorney Joe Lovett and Judy Bonds, leader of a grassroots movement, who are taking on Massey Energy, the largest of the coal companies.
